Conrad Brooks, friend and cohort of Ed Wood – indeed he played patrolman Jamie in Wood’s Plan 9 from Outer Space as well as 3 separate roles in Glen or Glenda – has continued to make films, sometimes vampire ones, and you have to appreciate the man’s tenacity, even if the films often aren’t that good (he’s been described as the Gielgud of bad movies).
He was born as Conrad Biedrzycki on January 3, 1931 in Baltimore, Maryland. As well as Plan 9 Brooks appeared in (and sometimes directed) a few films already featured on the blog. He had a cameo in A Polish Vampire in Burbank, he had a cameo in and directed the atrocious Blood Slaves of the Vampire Wolf and appeared in the even worse the Ironbound Vampire.
I recently picked up his series of films about The Gypsy Vampire and decided I’d run a Conrad Brooks week adding in a couple of other films that Brooks appeared in. His imdb page is here.

Oh god... Blood Slaves of the Vampire Wolf.
Yes, we both lived through that horror Ryne. However, whilst some of the films in the coming week plumb those depths there are some interesting bits and bobs (as well as an all time classic) in there as well.
