Here’s hoping that you all have a great 2009 and, it seems, we have even more vampires approaching. Over in the UK we will finally get Let the Right One In – which has received massive acclaim in its US cinema run – and True Blood at long last. New series Demons starts over here this very Saturday, and maybe Hammer will get their finger out and release the Beyond the Rave DVD.
Being Human is due to have its series run in 2009 and the bad news is that Annie, Mitchell and Herrick are being played by different actors and the pilot is being shelved and won’t form series cannon. The good news is that the BBC have put up a blog that has videos for each main character and they’re rather well done.
I reported the other day that Against the Dark, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and Lesbian Vampire Killers are all due. There is also just a week to go before the US release of Netherbeast Incorporated. There are also plenty of other films such as Suck, Sodium Babies and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Undead, to name but three, that are all gathering on the horizon. As always I’ll do my best to bring you the best, the worst and the whole spectrum in between of vampire movies and TV shows, with the odd spattering of books, honourable mentions in the genre and anything else my fevered little mind can think up for y’all.

I have also heard much about Let the Right One In and am Jonesing to see it. I might just have to wait until it comes out on DVD.
Hi Rachel. The book was great and I have high hopes for the movie. I'm hoping it'll get a theatrical run in the UK but... my guess is I'll be waiting on the DVD also.
