The review: Part two of the limited story and it starts with Blade and the “unlikely ally” I mentioned in the previous review, revealed in the blurb above as Dracula. The fact that he would turn to Dracula for help didn’t phase me – though I will say I never felt the apocalyptic urgency coming through the narrative, generally, that would lead to such an alliance – but what did phase me was Blade’s apparent naivety. In volume 1 he blithely allows himself to make mistake after mistake. Here, Dracula says Blade has to drink his blood and we get a brief “no way”, and a too easily offered acceptance thereafter. This, I suspect, is down to the limited length but Blade was just not cynical enough generally.
The story came to a conclusion – with an aftermath that I am unsure as to if it was reflected across the Marvel universe thereafter. That said, it is a Blade adventure, which is always welcome, 6 out of 10.
