I have been asked to mention the forthcoming Twilight Proms, unofficial convention featuring the guests Kellan Lutz "Emmett Cullen", Chaske Spencer "Sam Uley" and Jose Zuniga "Mr. Molina" from the movie. The first is in London on 18th and 19th September 09 overlapped at Birmingham on the 19th and 20th.
Clearly Twilight has been getting some strong backlash recently but there are many fans of the film/books (which hopefully will lead you into the mainstream of the genre) and, if it is your sort of thing, details can be found here.
