What a long, strange trip it's been....

Taliesin meets the Vampires reaches its first birthday today and a lot of vampiric goodness (and some terribleness as well) has been posted upon this page.

I’d like to thank all the regular visitors including, but not exclusively, Crabstix, Mateo, Zombiepunk, Edna Sweetlove, Atlantic Vamp, Marvin the Magnificent, Corroding Halo, Exclamation Mark (not only for the superb support but also for the favicon) and the shadowy doppelganger Dante Black, whose wonderful blog is set to self destruct in just a couple of days. If I haven’t named you specifically, I apologise, I do not mean to cause offence. To all of you, the support has been fantastic.

Thank to Kris B, who manipulated the image for this post.

Also to the various bloggers who have linked to me, I appreciate the links and have endeavoured to link back.

Most of all I’d like to thank the many visitors who come here, your presence is always welcome.

Well, onwards and upwards. Another year beckons, the coffin’s getting cold and the mulled blood wine is being served.

Congrats. When you first started the blog I remember thinking there was no way someone could keep up with doing that many long reviews without getting burned out. But you've done exactly that. In another year you might have ran out of vampire films to review! Luckily there are still thousands of novels out there.

Cheers Mateo

The killer with books is they take that much longer to go through. I must have over 200 vampire novels that I'd read prior to the blog that I wouldn't review until I'd re-read them prior to writing it.

When we get to mainly novels things will slow down lol

Many happy returns. You have done a great job over the past year and the effort you have put is here for all to see. Kudos to Taliesin. Well done and may this be but the first of many more to come. Cheers m8!

I am pleased to see that not only did you thank me, but also my alter-ego. Your blog is one of the few I still take the time to check regularly (not only for the reviews, etc., but because you seem like a genuinely nice guy, too).

Keep up the great work, and I'm glad you like the favicon!

By the way: As you know by now, Paint It Black has self-destructed, but Paint It Pink lives! I think that is even more scary.

Yours, Mark (aka Dante)

Mark, many thanks - and how could I not mention that shadowy doppleganger! lol

I have, as you know, visited Paint it Pink and I must say that you have discovered the source of true horror - and it is pink lol

Incidentally, I'm assuming you noticed the Billy the Kid versus Dracula review - just thought it might be the kind of B that would catch your eye.

Viel Geburtstag zum Glück, dear. Forgive my absence of late... but ENOUGH of the John Carradine reviews already!! How about a Jesus Franco review that Edna can really get her grease-stained teeth into?! Check out this palanca-related vid: http://youtube.com/watch?v=2Gi8ZfciSSY

Edna, believe me there was no intention of doing a Carradine season - it just so happened I picked up both films very cheaply recently.

I have quite a full list of movies lined up over the next week or so, but... just for you, I promise I'll dig out Franco's Killer Barbies within the next two weeks.
