Directed by Natasha Halevi, this 5-minute-long film succinctly tells its story by having very little on show.
We see the film’s title on a business card, on the reverse it suggests it is a special invitation that is “Only for Beautiful girls”. The card is held by Sarah (Jennifer Holland, the Sisterhood) who is stood at the door of Beauty Juice, which appears to be locked. She notices a hose that runs into a potted plant and feeds in pink gloop. The door opens…
The woman leaving the building asks if she is there to be juiced and lets her in. The waiting room beyond looks old fashioned and Sarah tries to get the attention of the receptionist who eventually tells her to take a number. Sitting by a woman, who realises it is her first time, Sarah’s nerves begin to play up...
just for a moment... |
There are flashes where the women in the room appear to be other than they seem… for instance the woman she sits by, just for a moment, has a maw of sharp teeth… and very soon Sarah’s number comes up….
And that’s as far as we’ll go but you can see the short below. The imdb page is here.
