Kickstarter: Night is Falling

I was recently contacted by Barry Dodd co-creator/writer of upcoming comic Night is Falling, which is currently going through a Kickstarter process.

The story is described as follows “In NIGHT IS FALLING, brother and sister Valerie and Joshua Haskell are moving from New York City to Jonah's Harbor, Maine, ostensibly because their dad has a new job in the town. But it's a chance for a new start in many ways, as Valerie has been dogged by cruel rumors at their former school, and Joshua has been kicked out for fighting. They soon discover that the Jonah's Harbor kids who take them into their circle have been keeping a dangerous secret, and cultivating a plan to save the town from an unspeakable evil.”

That evil is clearly vampires, indeed the team have described the story, set in 1977, as Stranger Things with vampires. On the Kickstarter Page you can get a feel for the art and story with a ten-page prologue (scroll towards the bottom of the page for the comic and I've used the prologue cover as this article's primary illustration) and, if you so desire, there are a range of pledges with a variety of rewards. The comic has reached its primary target and is now looking for a stretch target.
