Thanks to Everlost for pointing this one out. This is a 2018 fan film of Blade (K DyRec Butler), directed by K DyRec Butler, and I have previously looked at the fan film Daywalker: Blade Origins - and whilst we wait for a Blade reboot then the fan films are welcome to fill that gap, or at least that’s what I think. I have also previously looked at a Morbius the Living Vampire fan film, and I mention that because Morbius (Karl Alf Staaf) is the primary baddie in this.
It starts off with three guys running through the night – neon masks obscuring their faces. Meanwhile, in a car, Blade is asked if he is ready – he was born ready. The guys have been promised turning for doing a good job but one, Tony (Antoine Avery), is getting cold feet. They deliver the package to Blackout (Patrick Opitz) but he has plans to hand the guys over for experimenting on. That gets interrupted as Blade comes in and beats his vampire goons up – though they simply die, rather than dusting.
Blade and Fury
Meanwhile Tiffany Carter (Raven Charles), a young reporter, has been investigating the mysterious man (Morbius) for a couple of years but has just tied Blade into the story. However her editor is not impressed. Blade receives a visit from Nick Fury (D Grey Brown), who is concerned about the increasing vampire menace, but Blade refuses to work with teams. The experiments referred to are Morbius’ attempt to create a breed of uber-vampires. And that covers all the strands, you can catch the film itself below.
Here you will find views and reviews of vampire genre media, from literature, the web, TV and the movies.
